Ukraine awoke Friday morning to the chilling sounds of air raid sirens and explosions as Russia unleashed a massive, coordinated missile and drone attack across the country. The pre-dawn barrage targeted critical energy infrastructure in several regions, plunging areas into darkness, damaging power facilities, and tragically claiming the lives of at least five civilians.

Zelenskyy’s Urgent Plea for Air Defence
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy swiftly condemned the assault, labelling it “terrorist” and reiterating his urgent plea for more advanced air defence systems from Western allies. “We need more air defence to protect our people, our infrastructure, our cities,” he stated in a social media post, highlighting that every delay in aid directly results in more lives lost. “Russian terror must lose, and the world must prove it.”
