Guerrero Jr. Powers Blue Jays to Game 4 Rout
In a must-win game, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Toronto Blue Jays delivered a resounding 9-3 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 4 of the World Series, tying the series at 2-2. Guerrero Jr. blasted two home runs, driving in four runs as Toronto’s offense erupted for 12 hits.
Guerrero Jr.’s Heroics Steal the Show
The 22-year-old slugger put on a clinic, going 3-for-5 with two towering homers. His first, a 432-foot moonshot off Tony Gonsolin in the third inning, set the tone. He added a second homer in the seventh off Blake Treinen, sealing the Dodgers’ fate.
“When Vladdy is locked in, he’s unstoppable,” said Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo. “Tonight, he carried us.”
Toronto’s Offense Erupts
While Guerrero Jr. starred, the entire lineup contributed. Bo Bichette drove in two with a clutch double, and Teoscar Hernández added a solo homer. The Dodgers’ defense faltered, with Corey Seager’s fifth-inning error fueling Toronto’s rally.
“We didn’t execute,” admitted Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. “They outplayed us in every phase.”
Ryu, Bullpen Shut Down Dodgers
Hyun Jin Ryu battled through six innings, allowing three runs but stranding key runners. Jordan Romano and Tim Mayza then silenced L.A.’s bats with three scoreless innings.
Dodgers’ Stars Struggle
Mookie Betts and Will Smith drove in runs, but Trea Turner and Justin Turner went quiet (2-for-12 combined). Toronto’s pitching strategy—attack early, limit walks—paid off.
Series Reset: Best-of-Three Ahead
With the series tied, Game 5 becomes critical. Walker Buehler starts for L.A., while Robbie Ray takes the mound for Toronto.
“We’re not done yet,” Guerrero Jr. warned. “This is just the beginning.”
